On Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California, Whiskey A Go Go opened its doors in 1964, which is a nightclub that has helped a lot of bands get their start. Bands like Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Steppenwolf, Van Halen, and many more all got their start at Whiskey A Go Go. The very first Whiskey A Go Go in the United States was opened in Chicago in 1958 and a franchise opened in Washington D.C. in 1966. A historic music landmark, it was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
