This phone booth was like Bruce's getaway. When he was about 17 or 18, he would go there a lot to sit and talk to his girl for hours on the phone (especially during the winter time) because he wanted to avoid going home. He and his dad used to get into many fights over different things but, in particular, over his long hair. His dad hated his long hair. In fact, he hated it so much that one night while Bruce was laid up in bed from a motorcycle accident, he had a barber come in and cut it. Bruce was so angry that he told him he hated him.
