New Yorkers are weird – ask anyone who’s ever lived in New York. Of course, we’re talking about New York City, not the state, which are like two different universes. Where else in the world would you spot a person walking around carrying a peacock as if it was a small bird or a talking parrot?
And once again, the thing that strikes us the most is the complete indifference of everyone around him, as if this is a completely normal sight. Riding the subway with dogs (unless they are in a bag) is strictly prohibited, but riding the subway with a free peacock isn’t – in what world does this make sense?
