Watermelon, anyone?

So many questions come to mind looking at this picture, we don’t know where to begin. The obvious question is why is this person wearing a watermelon on his head as if it was a helmet, but we should have learned by now not to ask too many questions when it comes to the New York subway.

Perhaps this watermelon helmet (term coined) is meant to serve as a form of social distancing mask. These past two months, personal space and hygiene in crowded places have become that much more important and entered our awareness, and people have been coming up with creative way to stay somewhat isolated even in public places.
