"Jungle" Pam Hardy - 1973
Pamela Hardy became Jim Liberman's sidekick on the drag racing "Funny Car" circuit when she was 18 years old. It was a "spur of the moment" decision on the day she met him and his Corvette. She was just walking down the street and he drove by in his Corvette, turned around and came back. She hopped in the car and went home with him, was intrigued by all the cars and atmosphere of drag racing and he hired her - that was it! Unfortunately, after just a few years, ironically, he was killed - not on the drag strip - but in a road accident hitting head-on with a bus.
