A British actress who became popular through the 1968 series "The Champions,"Alexandra Bastedo also became quite a "sex symbol" as well in the 1960s and '70s. Her role in the series was a spy namedSharron Macready. Other productions she was seen in include "13 Frightened Girls," "The Aphrodite Inheritance" and "Batman Begins" among others. Besides acting, she was also known to be an animal activist (and no surprise - a vegetarian). She died just less than a year after her husband died in January of 2014, both dying of cancer. They were married for 33 years.
