Photographing a "night with the Millers," a photographer from Life magazine did a photo shoot of Marilyn Monroe and her 3rd husband, Arthur Miller (who was a playwright) while entertaining a theater producer named Kermit Bloomgarden (what a name!). Bloomgarden and Miller worked on several projects together and this night was about toasting him. The photographer took several other pictures that evening, depicting them in casual entertaining mode. Their blissful marriage, though, only lasted five years before they ended in divorce due to being "incompatible."
