An ice cream a day keeps the doctor away
As children, our parents buying us ice cream was one of the biggest treats we could dream of, so we can all relate with this little boy and his desperation. It seems rather inconsiderate that the girls had to sit by the window to enjoy their ice cream, but it probably wasn’t intentional, and they must be unaware of how jealous this young boy is.
Growing up, whenever we didn’t get what we wanted and we’d complain it wasn’t fair, our parents would tell us that life is unfair (or was it just us?). In a way, this is a very important life lesson for this young boy – he gets to learn at first hand just how unfair the world is, and that we can’t always get what we want (the rolling stones even wrote a song about it).
