In her first major role in Cactus Flower in 1969, Goldie Hawn won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. It was a serious role as Walter Matthau's suicidal fiance. She's best known, however, for her comedic performances and perhaps her best-loved role is that of the eponymous Private Benjamin for which she also won an Academy Award.

She parlayed her good looks and natural blonde into a career that has spanned several decades. Hawn's other film credits include Butterflies Are Free, Housesitter, Shampoo, Death Becomes Her, and First Wives Club. She's been married to fellow actor Kurt Russell since 1983.
